World Strike Plan

It's time to wake up and do something.
For the first time in human history we have gobal communication.
Almost every community on the planet has internet access.
It's time for a series of strikes, planet-wide, to make a point.
No more wars.
Face it. Most of us are the little guys.
But the little guys have power. We work for big guys. If we don't go to work they will notice.
It's time for a few monkey wrenches my friends, thrown into the machine that is killing our's and our children's future.
If everyone who is against the worldwide wars were to call in, too sick to work, on certain prearranged days, it would make a real impact.
"I'm too stressed to work today. More peoples' kids were killed in Iraq today. I worry about what my kids will have to face because our country has run amok."
We might have to go to the shrink for a doctors note.
We might be fired.
It depends upon how much you want to sacrifice.
Any amount of effort is good.
Let us strike.

Like individual executions of computer programs.
Not alot of substance.
We exist in the Bio-hard drive.
Mother Earth.
She is the medium of our expressions.
Like a hard drive.
She can crash.
One tiny planet in a vast universe.

Birth is on one end. Death on the other.
Life in between.
Birth:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Death.
Like doors on the ends of a long hallway.
Can we experience a state of death?
I don't believe we can.

Priorities

What the hell is going on in this country, in the world?
We are spending hundreds of billions of our dollars to create chaos in the middle east.
We are only creating enemies.
What if we spent hundreds of billions to educate our children and on research to protect our children?
Spend money to create healers, not soldiers.
What if we stopped meddling in other peoples affairs, started to help our own people?
Our leaders seem hell-bent on creating enemies.
When did we get to vote on whether or not our nation was to be an asshole to the rest of the world?
What the hell is happening?
What are our priorities?

Cancer and children

I keep thinking of things I could have done to help my son.
Two years ago today, my son Veda, was having a central line implanted.
We were all devastated and not thinking clearly.
Stage four liver cancer with mets to the lungs.
It takes a while to process something like that happening to your son.
Veda was given Cisplatin on his thirteenth birthday.
Happy birthday!? :(
It didn't work.
It's been about a year and a half since he left.
I feel like I should do something to help other people who have kids recently diagnosed with cancer.
When it happened to my son, no one really helped me deal with it.
Veda had good medical care, but I could have used more information from people who had "been there done that"
Most of the stuff on the internet is scholarly, or religious, or quack.
I would like to dedicate this weblog to sharing practical information about children's cancer.
I only wish I could figure out how to get my blog seen by the people who would benefit.
I've been a psychiatric registered nurse for ten years.
I spent five months caring for my son during his illness.

anger and frustration

This weblog is for venting anger, frustration, happiness, and that special delusion of things going right/wrong.
I'm an old guy who, in elementary school, participated in drills preparing us for nuclear attack.
I used to think it was stupid. I had seen pictures of Hiroshima.
I saw Jimi Hendrix at the Hollywood Bowl.
That was a high point.
Lost a son and two best friends.
Low points.
The good thing about life is the bad thing about life.
Change
